Former ‘Bachelorette’ Runner-Up Robby Hayes Signs Modeling Deal

"There is no career move in that," he said back in August. "I was working on my Masters in Finance beforehand, and I will go right back to doing that. So, it's not like I am going to try and make some great move up in the film industry or anything."

Robby Hayes is staying in the spotlight. The former competitive swimmer, who competed on The Bachelorette season 12, has signed a modeling deal with Wilhelmina Denver. According to TMZ, he will get product endorsements and hosting gigs through the modeling agency.

“I’ve never been with a major agency such as Wilhelmina Denver,” Hayes told Us Weekly. “I’ve been signed with a couple smaller local agencies in my past, but this will be a big step in the right direction for me.”

“The entire industry in Denver excites me,” he added. “It’s grown so much in recent years and the opportunity of not only great Colorado projects but national projects as well will be greatly beneficial for both Wilhelmina and my career moving forward.”

No surprise here. After Hayes got his heart broken on The Bachelorette season 12, where JoJo Fletcher chose Jordan Rodgers over him in the finale, he was very much open to become the next Bachelor star. However, his willingness to find love on reality TV again resulted to Bachelor fans questioning his true motives. Previously it was also rumored that he went on the show for fame but Hayes denied it.

“There is no career move in that,” he said back in August. “I was working on my Masters in Finance beforehand, and I will go right back to doing that. So, it’s not like I am going to try and make some great move up in the film industry or anything.”

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
